Internship – Administration Assistant
This is an unpaid position but lunch expenses and travel expenses will be provided.
We are looking for an Administration Assistant Intern to assist our Operations Manager with our numerous clients operating in the not for profit sector. NFPBS has a number of clients requiring a wide range of services and projects to enable them to concentrate on their core objectives. There is plenty of opportunity to get involved in many of the projects.
NFPBS is seeking a committed intern to support the Operations Manager administrator the day to day running of the office systems. The role is admin based and will suit a college or university leaver looking to enhance their administration, time management, office systems and membership database skills.
We are a dedicated association management company offering the not for profit sector full support in the administration and other specialist services. The wide range of services available ensures that the client organisation gets the support that it requires and fulfils its legal obligations allowing trustees and directors to concentrate upon the organisations core objectives.
This is an unpaid position and there may not be a permanent position available at the end of the internship. The purpose of the internship is to provide an opportunity to learn the key skills needed to work in professional employment. This internship is for a graduate who is looking to develop experience of working in a professional outsourced administration environment. Training will be provided initially and thereafter a level of self-initiative will be expected.
The ideal candidate will be highly organised, creative, and take initiative in their work.
Experience is not essential for the role as training will be provided to the right candidates. However, knowledge of the Microsoft suite of software, Word, Excel, Access, Outlook etc and a positive attitude and passion for provide administration to the highest level is a must!

Duties will include:
• Liaising with clients and their members via the telephone and in writing
• Assisting the Operations Manager with the running of the office systems
• Membership database management
• Taking clients bookings and making arrangements for invoicing
• Assisting with promoting client events via various marketing mediums
• Attending client events and helping with backstage etc.
Skills:
• Strong interpersonal skills and a positive friendly manner.
• Drive / determination
• Flexibility and the ability to work well in a team
• Well organised
• Able to negotiate well and the ability to persuade / influence others.
• Attention to detail is crucial.
Applicants should be able to volunteer for up to one year for 5 days a week. A probationary period of 3 months must be completed
